Inspiring our clients to be conscious travellers is a fundamental part of our travel planning and storytelling. By providing tips and recommendations to our clients and digital communities, we can do our part in building better sustainable tourism practices and supporting operators, who follow responsible business practices.
Wherever possible, our itineraries prioritise eco-certified travel and tourism products and experiences. Information shared through our blog and Travel Prep Packet also teaches travellers to lower their footprint abroad, such as carbon offsetting long-haul flights, or interacting with wildlife ethically and empathically.
As a new business, we’re still in the process of researching and planning ways to reduce our footprint, but we’re working on it. We hope to have our sustainability reporting started and transparent to our partners, clients and audiences, by the end of 2024. Sustainability commitments are important to us and we’ll let you know as soon as we have more to share. Thank you for your patience, as we get our new business off the ground.Â
Every year, we donate five percent of every purchase made at Liv Australia Travel, to an Australian nonprofit, with a mission related to empowering communities, supporting indigenous tourism, conserving wildlife and ecosystems or preserving built history across Australia.Â
Remember the Wild is a small, dedicated team of staff and volunteers, who share stories through blogs, podcasts and film, to engage communities in Melbourne and beyond. They also research concepts related to communication and nature and manage original initiatives, including:
Every penny of Remember the Wild’s revenue goes into its mission, so when you buy an itinerary or digital product from Liv Australia Travel, five percent of that purchase donated to Remember the Wild, will go directly to their creative projects that improve access and connection to Australian nature for the better health of people and planet.Â
Remember the Wild has a wide range of projects and is currently focused on connecting people with Australia’s threatened and lesser-known species, equipping community conservation groups with the communications skills they need to find donors and supporters, and making the environment more accessible for all.Â
They are also about to embark on a project with Parks Victoria to work with volunteer groups and disability advocates to make conservation volunteering more accessible and welcoming to more people. Last but not least, Remember the Wild releases film content, including nature travel and adventure streams, which might be right up your alley!Â
We encourage you to learn more (and support!) Remember the Wild on their website, Instagram and Facebook.
We are excited to support the vision and values of Remember the Wild this year and appreciate all their work to (re)connect busy Australians with nature – and each other.Â
To the team and volunteers at Remember the Wild, thank you for all you do! Â
